SPECIAL REPORT: Who Funds Delaware's Senate Race — The Numbers

Who Funds the Race? Delaware Senate FEC daylight infographic — Coons Katz Travis Jack Stevens — Nov 3 write in

On November 3, your printed U.S. Senate ballot carries two names: Chris Coons and Mike Katz (Delaware Department of Elections). Mine is not on it. I am a Qualified write-in — Travis Jack Stevens — and if you want me, you write my name (Delaware Department of Elections).

Before you choose, see who is paying for this race. Not rumors. Public filings from the Federal Election Commission, coverage through August 26, 2026. Justice starts with daylight. Accountability starts with a ledger you can check.

Senator Coons's campaign committee reports $4,168,081 in receipts for the 2025–26 cycle, has spent $1,559,897, and sits on $4,793,384 in cash. Of that haul, $1,408,377 came from other political committees — PACs (FEC). Banks, real estate, labor, leadership PACs, tech, defense. Diversified. Large.

That is the cycle clock. Some websites quote a bigger multi-year figure covering 2021 through now — about $6.9 million in receipts on the longer window (FEC). Those are different clocks. I am using the cycle numbers, because that is the money raised for this race.

Direct PAC money from AIPAC's PAC: $10,000, per FEC — two $5,000 contributions (FEC). OpenSecrets, in a September 28, 2026 snapshot I am citing carefully, attributes nearly $877,000 this cycle to AIPAC's donor cluster. Almost all of that is individual donors, many earmarked through AIPAC's PAC as a conduit — not a single check from AIPAC itself (OpenSecrets, Sep 28 snapshot). Direct PAC money is the $10,000 figure.

From eleven named defense-contractor employee PACs — Northrop Grumman, Leidos, General Dynamics, BAE, Honeywell, Huntington Ingalls, RTX, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Textron, L3Harris — $78,000 (FEC). That is what the filings show. I am not inventing a bigger contractor total.

Outside spending about Coons in this race is thin. The only independent expenditure I found in the FEC file is the National Association of Realtors PAC, $11,559 in support. United Democracy Project — the AIPAC-affiliated Super PAC — shows $0 for or against anyone in Delaware's Senate race (FEC independent expenditures). There is no Super PAC air war here. There is a well-funded incumbent committee with nearly five million dollars in the bank.

Mike Katz reports $159,367 in receipts. Of that, $129,250 — about 81 percent — is money he loaned his own campaign. Cash on hand: $98,413. Debts owed: $129,250, matching those loans. Other-committee money: $300. No Super PAC independent expenditures found for or against him (FEC). That is mostly a candidate writing himself a check. Coons's cycle receipts are roughly twenty-six times Katz's.

My committee has no published FEC financial summary for this cycle (FEC). I will not invent small-donor totals to fill the blank. The honest line is: nothing published. No Super PAC has spent for me. None will. This campaign is people-funded. No Super PAC. Ever.

I spent years as a travel ICU nurse. I watched people choose between a prescription and the rent. I am not running to answer to a PAC. I am running to answer to you.

I am not claiming a dollar bought a vote. I am saying the ledger is public, and you should read it before November 3. A Senate seat is public power. Public power should answer to the public.
