Dear Delaware,

BREAKING in the Strait of Hormuz - a forever-war flash, not a redo of Day 92's Qeshm merchant strike, and not a replacement for today's Primary Election Day letter.

Axios reports, with CENTCOM on the record, that on Monday Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats tried to take possession of a U.S. Navy unmanned surface vessel in Hormuz. U.S. forces responded. An American drone fired two missiles. The boats were destroyed. A U.S. official told Axios most aboard were killed. CENTCOM Capt. Tim Hawkins says the surface drone remains under U.S. operational control. (Axios - Sep 15, 2026; Anadolu Agency.)

Iranian media tell a different story. Mehr News, citing Hormozgan deputy governor Ahmad Nafisi, describes a drone strike on fishing boats near Kargan and Larak Island - fishermen missing, search and rescue ongoing. That account does not concede an IRGC seizure attempt. (Mehr via Anadolu Agency.)

I will not settle this for you. I will not call it "fishermen murdered" as locked fact. I will not call it "IRGC pirates" as locked fact. CENTCOM says one thing. Iranian media say another. Both frames stand as reported until the wires lock more.

What is not contested is the bill. Brent has printed near about $108. Hormuz traffic remains crushed versus the pre-war pace. Forever war is not abstract when you fill up in Rehoboth or Laurel.

I will not normalize another kinetic day in a chokepoint that prices Delaware's groceries and gas. I will not invent body counts beyond the U.S. official claim Axios carries. I will not take Super PAC money from the interests that profit when the war machine runs on autopilot.

Today is Primary Election Day in Delaware. I am not on that ballot. On November 3, write TRAVIS JACK STEVENS for U.S. Senate. People-funded. No Super PAC money. Ever. travisjackstevens.com
