Forever-war accountability: at the United Nations the President threatens to "annihilate the Islamic Republic" in one breath and claims "momentum" toward a deal in the next - while commodity traffic through Hormuz is still a handful of ships a day and Delaware diesel just climbed again. No kinetic BREAKING chyron. No invented ceasefire. No invented summit. Just the dual frame in daylight.

Overnight wires - Al Jazeera and Reuters - confirm hours of mediated U.S.-Iran talks on the U.N. General Assembly sidelines Tuesday.

Steve Witkoff described mediators who "shuttled between" the sides. President Trump told reporters Witkoff and Jared Kushner had a three-hour meeting that was "very good" and "very productive," with "a lot of momentum" toward a deal and another meeting "very near future."

Accounts differ. The White House clarified that Trump himself did not attend. Attribute both versions. A mediated shuttle is not a ceasefire. "Momentum" is not a Hormuz reopen. A three-hour meeting without Trump in the room is not a Trump-Pezeshkian summit. Talks on the calendar are not the finish line.

Same Assembly, same dual frame: Trump's UNGA address framed a "big decision" between a rebuild deal and whether to "annihilate the Islamic Republic." Iran's Armed Forces General Staff and Khatam replied that the threats show "strategic weakness" and that they are ready for "more severe, crushing, and unpredictable blows."

That is rhetoric - his words, their words. I will not invent a new strike package from a speech. I will not invent casualties from a press line. Forever wars feed on fog that turns theater into inevitability.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is in New York. He addresses the General Assembly around 12:00pm ET Wednesday - his first UNGA speech since this war. Iranian officials say a meeting with Trump is not scheduled.

Speeches. Photo ops. Cable hope. Delaware still funds the stage.

Reuters reported Wednesday: commodity vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz numbered three on Tuesday, down from four on Monday, against a ten-day average near fifteen. Before this war, the strait moved roughly one-fifth of the world's oil and gas.

That is today's Reuters preliminary count. Tuesday's Day 102 letter used an earlier preliminary Monday figure of two - and preliminary shipping figures can revise. I will not silently keep Monday-at-two as today's lead. I will not invent a rebound narrative from three versus four. A handful of ships through a choke that used to move a fifth of world oil and gas is still a crushed choke. Working people feel it first.

Continuity only - still an Iranian claim, reported by Reuters and Al Jazeera: Tehran would reopen Hormuz within seven days if the United States eases pressure and lifts the blockade. Offer is not a deal. Offer is not a reopen. The United States has not confirmed it.

Working-class Delaware did not vote for forever war as a lifestyle, blank-check patriotism, or photo-op diplomacy while school budgets and hospital shifts get the leftovers.

Daylight on talks as talks - Witkoff's shuttle and Trump's "very good" both attributed, format contested, no invented ceasefire or summit. Annihilate and crushing as rhetoric, not invented orders. Hormuz daily counts as daily counts - Reuters Wednesday's three as three. Iranian seven-day reopen timelines as claims, not announced reopenings. Congress back in the authorization job the Constitution assigns. No blank checks. No Super PAC money from interests that profit when the war machine stays hungry. People-funded. No Super PAC. Ever.

If a war is righteous enough to fight, it is accountable enough to end - or authorize - in daylight. Delaware deserves a Senator who says that when the cameras prefer fog.
